Highly recommended! -Terri W
This book is not feel good AI generated fluff nor is it a whiny story of survival from a media hyped condition. This is the real deal. Facts and proven truth set the foundation from the first chapter. Beyond balanced-there was something for all types of reader I am. Not so much academics that the aha moments couldn’t take place but definitely not a fluffy read when you are someone who has experienced abuse (1st or 2nd hand) and/or seek to understand why people behave the way they do. Professional literature, expert advice and courageous raw anecdotally supported chapters meant this took me much longer than typical to read. In today’s age of quick auto generated content it is refreshing to read an obviously well researched thoughtful story, but the extra bonus is there’s specific content for what to do about it, delivered in a nonjudgmental way, regardless of your current position on the healing path - Michelle B.
